From: The Pharaoh of Anubis takes the Throne

Siegfried and Gabrielle would cover about a third of the Palace so they could make note of what rooms were and were not used, their entrances and exits in the manner of number and local. They would also come to see the faces of the servants that would be within and Siegfried would pose as inspecting them as a rouse to make sure they didn't have an enemy planted within the Palace walls. Depending on the plant and its abilities, this would be an easy task or a difficult one.

After a few hours, Siegfried feigned tiredness as he could feel members of the Illimar testing the waters of their link. The servants had enough time to ready the Pharaoh's chambers to what he asked for, including a place for Gabrielle as Siegfried's seer to rest just off of his own chambers. Food and juices were placed within the chambers before they arrived and Siegfried, after the doors were closed and he showed Gabrielle to where she would rest, both rooms having a balcony to look out from, would serve them well enough to spy the City, but only the balcony from Gabrielle's was secluded enough to possibly use for take-off and landing.

Siegfried would come to sit on the balls of his feet and knees and relax into meditation. He would clear his mind of the questions within him that the walk through the Palace had given him, at least for a short while. Nothing needed to be sent through the link, not yet.

An hour or so after Gabrielle and Siegfried had settled into their room, leaving about an hour left of sunlight, Jehoel would chime in...

< "Commander, Brother." >

Jehoel's mental voice came through showing the mental exhaustion and strain that had come to pass over the last few weeks. It was a wonder he had not been in Gabrielle's head hourly with such. And Jehoel was one of the ones that truly had kept in contact with the region he was overseeing with Amaros and Kyriel. He was the ones that generally gave in report for them. Perhaps it was because he could word it properly as to quell Gabrielle's potential anger at things.

< "I apologize for being silent these last couple of months. There has been so much going on between the Mediterranean States it is quite difficult to keep up, especially with the signs coming to pass that have shown themselves since Elita was found." >

Jehoel's pause momentarily was for the ordering of the disarray of information that was in his mind. Though not surprising, he was not one to enter into a Telepathic communication with the Illimar unless he had already done so. Apparently time was of the essence here, which is why Jehoel didn't meditate before reporting. There were small pauses between facts being reported.

< "Elita made it with the Authurian, who has been dispatched for the whole of Rome to see. She delivered your message and it was well received, though with her recovery, we have not been able to pinpoint a timeframe for a meeting if that is your wish...

Elita's recovery from the Casseus root has been slow going. Her senses with the Awakening are a bit awry and rather strong, which would be quite appropriate with the Esperanza bloodline as they tended to side with the Lycanthropes. The way she tracks, I wouldsay that the two Eperanza in the deserts were her children. But there is word commander that the Archons have rid the Frankish Empire of the Esperanza influence and she perhaps is the last, unless the two assigned to Charlemagne are still with him. But this apparently is something that Elita was not made privy to. I ve looked through her drawing and bard accounts and she was a captive for a short time of the Archons that invaded Gaul. If we can unlock some of the information within that she witnessed, then perhaps we will have a way in as she was able to escape their clutches. I have not spoken to Caesar of this yet, he already has enough on his plate and without confirmation of what the drawingsand writings speak... I do not wish to give false hope.

Gaius is safe though there is worry of minions getting too close or within the walls of Rome. Elita was with the Bodaus heir when she was poisoned and she had just brought him back from the clutches of another Authurian. I believe, which may actually be to our benefit that Caesar and the General know of her lineage. There is little confirmation, but at the same time no denial of knowledge. If she did reveal herself to the Emperor, then she must have felt it most important to do so. The Casseus would have made it impossible for Elita to hide her true nature from the humans at the dosage she would have had to ingest to still be affected by it....

Romanus and I have spoken, he is attempting to keep the Mazzon at ease for now. While vicious in feeding, we do not need them to attempt a full scale war without the backing of the other Families and leave the Mani-Mazzon gifted the only Mazzon left. He seemed a bit tense, even though I woke him up. He said he would most likey be speaking with Kyriel soon about the Mazzon woman.

Kyriel sent wrd that the child of Charlemagne has recovered and has accepted the meeting with Caesar. We shall see where that leads.

Good news for Egypt, an Amenophis made it to Rome. She is young and weak and I know Amaros would know her and perhaps you as well Siegfried. She said her name was Shaheerazad, adopted childe of Makhetsu. She stated the one to give her the gift of the night was Timket Vashran, whom if I remember right was Makhetsu's fourth son. Anyway, she stated it took her near five years to get out of Egypt safely. Since I do not remember her face, it means she has to be less than half of Amaros's age since it has been that long since I have been in Egypt, introducing Amaros to Mahkestu. I do not know if she told you, if you two met, or if Mahkestu did since I know the Vashran were deemed traitors to the Amenophis, but she was born within the lineage of Mahketsu, meaning, though she is young, she is of the Pharaoh line. She is determined, I will say that. She does not know it yet, but she was in the presence of Caesar. He has granted her a meeting, and perhaps she will be at a meeting that Caesar spoke of there being tonight.

Good and bad news from Greece and they go hand in hand, so I cannot separate the two. It seems Amaros's Grecian Fallen was correct in her visions. A young man from there, I would estimate about 10 years younger than the Bodaus General and the Emperor, is within the Legion that guards the Grecian Caesar. His father is none other than the supposedly retired Eletheurios Markos Gregorios, Amaros's father. It is not an area in which Amaros and I have met in a great number of years, but apparently Eli has again begun to procreate. The visions of Medomai's wife are the ones that spoke of the dead being reborn, the Mirmidon. It seems according to the words the child gave, unless I am reading into them, but the signs are there, the Mirmidon have been reborn several times and have been strategically placed within the Legions: two per Legion, except the child, whose name is Aiolos, Eli's son. He is the codemaker and decipherer of the Myotiko. And there is someone here in Rome old enough to know the Code and has used it to give information to the General and Caesar, which he very properly translated. {Sending of the vision of the map and so they could translate the Greco-Angelic mixture of text for themselves} So you see, there is enough information given that there is something awry amongst the Babylonians. Our suspicions of them being 'guided' to certain areas is foundated and mostly confirmed...

Medomai fell. This would explain Amaros's lack of communication in part. But, if his lover was correct, then the missing Mirmidon is Medomai's unknown daughter. Sight confirmation in Greece, in the village, but apparently she has vanished again. She has little training and control of her powers if what Eli said what true. Meaning she is a target for anyone. Medomai also had similar visions as his mother, but... he could not account for the 24th member before his passing. She fits the description however, and Eli is searching for her in an attempt to get her to Rome quickly and safely. Eli stated he never knew of the child and does not believe either Medomai or Amaros did either. Neither Medomai or Amaros ever spoke of how or when Achilles would be reborn, only that he would, and his presence would be known after all the Mirmidon were in place...

A Mazzon representative has made it to Rome. I have not been able to confirm much by way of Romanus, but I do believe this is his charge. I have not yet met her, but I will see if I can pick up on her lineage to confirm or deny this. I will report as soon as I know for certain."  >

He stopped again as he began to reorder his thoughts in hopes to make certain he did not forget anything. It was obvious he had yet to use the one tool that would give them an advantage, though Jehoel was one that enjoyed a first time walkthrough of a labyrinth and not being led through it. He had just gotten much information and between keeping things at an even keel, bringing Caesar up to speed and new information coming at them like flies to a pile of dung, there were details he was sure he was forgetting. He hoped that any questions or reactions from the Commander or Siegfried would jog his memory in the smaller, though more intricate details.

Another slipped into the link while Jehoel was giving a report. His brow raised as he began getting ready for his nightly search thanks to the moon's lack of light. He shook his head and stated quietly, <"Well brother, I know you like to give lengthy reports, but maybe next time you should report a bit sooner so it is not so long...">

Sariel was in a fairly decent mood. He looked around his tent for a moment as the breeze had flipped open a flap, only to make sure that no one had entered. <"So the demonspawn has become much more active. There is little within the barrier between the Sinai and Egypt. It is odd, but there are not even many Authurians passing this way either.

Jehoel, I am sending a report through two messengers your way to get to Caesar. Hopefully they will both make it. One is a Lycanthrope female, the other is a human male.

It's good we found the missing member, a female. Hmm... Have you tried the countering herbs to the Casseus root that the Frankish Fallen's have come up with? I cannot remember the combination Francios gave me 10 years back, but they found a rash of poisonings in the region of Gaul that they were trying to stop that Archon from taking command of.. Jav something... The one who originally got ahold of the Mani bloodline about a century or so ago. I know someone took care of it, the Frankish Fallen stated that some of the Lycanthropes they had helped out told them of the incident... What happened after that I don't know. Anyway, the herbs are actually native to Egypt, one of the long grasses they had been able to cultivate in small quantities near the seaport.">

He paused a moment as his mind went through the various things stated. < "Makhetsu was killed outside of Bubastis three months ago walking into an ambush of Authurians on his way to meet me. He was able to call for me, but I didn't find him in time. He was looking for Hasheput and the mortal Pharaoh woman.... Sakhmet I think her name was. He said they didn't kill her and was most adamant about it. Anyway, they had believed she was spirited away toward Babylon, but I had not seen anything, so they would have had to pass by during one of the weeks I wasn't at the Northern Oasis." >

He looked to his journal in thought a moment, < "If the Mani blooded is who I think it is... Sheik Abdul-al-Ran-Jihad was supposed to marry her. On my rounds last evening, I was told that the Sheik went out into a secluded part of the desert to consummate the union so that the other Caliphs couldn't stop him. I haven't been able to pick up where they are, so I am scouting another direction this evening. The Merchant family she was placed with didn't show up at the Oasis to take command of Ran-Jihad's stolen steeds." >

He had not spoken on either Amaros or Medomai as of yet. Uriel had confided in him about the potential of Medomai's daughter years ago but she wasn't completely certain. But the sending of the messages in the Myotiko form made him nod a bit before speaking. < "If Eli has a son in the Roman military, then there would have been a sign that set off the procreation cycle back then. Those children would range in age between 20 and 30 years old at the most. And I believe Eli has confirmed Uriel's suspicions about a child she encountered on her way to the far North where she births her children and the family she has them trained with. She wasn't sure which had her checking in on the village... But without confirmation she wouldn't have said anything to Amaros or Medomai. Medomai was not known for procreating with mortal women. And I have only known Amaros to bed with one mortal female... Why he did.. I think it was out of spite... but if Achilles was reborn... it would not have been at the same time as the Mirmidon. That is why the cycles of the Aegean Blue eyed children were spaced out and it only started about 80 years ago. It might also be possible that if Achilles has been reborn that he wasn't on Earth either... most of the reborns that I have encountered have had ties to the Marakai.

Jehoel, you need to look in the Mirror soon... Especially if we are going to be able to have all the pieces in place. We're behind by at least 5 years if not longer. We've been able to traverse between the dimensions which means they have been able to as well. Seers haven't been so prominent until now. And I do know... the Mani bloodline came from the heart of the Authurian lands, I just don't remember where without looking at those particular maps I created and they're hidden right now. If they do get their hands on her, then the others we have to keep from them, especially since you are saying one of the bloodline was given the Dark Kiss. They get ahold of more than one seer, one of us will have to be looking in that Mirror night and day and with Kabal's death in the Marakai 4 years ago, we're already down to 12 members and the Commander. So we have 5 seers of note, 2 males and 3 females... 2 .. perhaps 3 protected.. 2 for certain missing. And Amaros in Babylon... Not good odds, but if you can get Elita up on her feet, we might be able to get things moving a bit more quickly, with or without Amaros at least here... Anyone here from the three left in the Marakai yet?" >

Sariel, as well as Romanus and Siegfried, was usually the last to hear things because of the regions they were put in to protect. He had thought to yank a few others into the conversation and updates, but that was not actually his call, but the Commanders. He had only thought to report before going out on his rounds. The conversation was a good one in the fact that Sariel was getting caught up on things, while he cooked and readied for the night, even if the information seemed far from good in content.

Gabrielle had allowed herself to be led about the Palace with the newly crowned Pharaoh, allowing him to hold her hand and lead her as if she were a prized pet. The thought churned something in her gut, yet at the same time she could not help but let a smirk cross her face every now and then at the situation. Though she did not like to be one who needed to be guarded or tended to, she did indeed enjoy a good game.

And this was a good game if any there were.

The “Seer” walked with the guards and Siegfried to inspect the Palace, her attention rapt with Siegfried, particularly when he began to feign signs of tiredness. She would lean toward the Pharaoh then, whispering something in his ear that the guards would presume had to do with retiring for the evening, as after that the duo did indeed retire to their chambers. Gabrielle inspected her own, rather liking the open-air style the room had with the balcony and the sheer curtains.

That was one thing Gabrielle always did enjoy about this area, the architecture and style. Gabrielle allowed her hand to run down the sheer fabric of the curtains as her eyes moved to look out onto the large balcony, instantly thinking this would indeed be an appropriate departure and arrival point when needed. And the convenience made it even better… although there was always the possibility of extra guards being more vigilant of the Seer’s balcony.

Gabrielle had moved to make herself more comfortable, sitting upon the plushy cushions of the bed as she slipped her sandals off and pulled her feet up under her. After only a few  moments of closing her eyes, the link to Jehoel and Sariel had opened, and the information came flooding in.

There was quite a large amount of matters to be concerned about when it came to Jehoel’s briefing, but Gabrielle was not wishing to be one that lost her temper. Particularly with the guise of the Seer, if she were to lose her temper and it be heard, she would have to alter her entire cover in some way.

Gabrielle drew in a number of slow, rhythmic, deep breaths as she listened to what was reported. Of Elita’s condition, the Authurian message being well received by Rome, as well as Caesar’s apparent knowledge of Elita’s nature. This was not of much concern, but there certainly was points that jolted her… Such as the news that the security about the Roman Palace was in question, and of Medomia’s descendants, as well as everything else.

There was a moment of silence before Gabrielle would reply.
“Yes… there has been some word from the Marakai, though no intricate details… presumably due to the difficulty of a quick and strong telepathic connection through the barrier. As of current… the most disturbing news is that the Empresses have been executed, and replaced by one…”

Gabrielle fell silent after that, not knowing any more details, but wishing to make the point through silence of the direness of the situation in the Marakai. For two Empresses to be overthrown by one… that one must have immeasurable power and cunning.

“Ensure safety within Rome’s walls… We cannot have there be insecurities with what Rome stands for when Egypt is just now about to reclaim their great identity, particularly if it is within Rome that we will find our only true descendant of the Pharaoh line. It is imperative that we locate those with Sight before they fall into the wrong hands, if they haven’t already… If so, we must try to acquire them… Preferably alive… but” there was a pause in her words then, as if she were uncertain if she truly wished to say it. “But if need be… They are better dead, than utilized for foul deeds.”

>"The Empresses have been replaced by one?"< Sariel asked, but more pointedly didn't ask ~Has that ever been the case prior to now?~ His concern about the power level in the Marakai was too there. They only had three of the twelve left there as well as the youngest, as far as they could tell still within the Marakai. He didn't say anything about it, however, he could sense, as could they all, Gabrielle's attempts not to 'blow her stack'.

>"I will do what I can to find and secure the Mani-girl. Trying to find her if she has been taken to Bablyon and the Queen could prove damn near impossible. I will see if I can get Amaros to link with me and let him know what to look for since he's there snooping."< Sariel added in, hopefully releasing some of the tension that Gabrielle was holding in.

Siegfried's form was less than pleasant at this state. Having started through meditation and almost completely relaxed, his muscles grew tense as he too held in his displeasure with the conversation. His muscles twitched slightly as he listened and much like usual, he spoke nothing.

His teeth were grinding as he wished to lash out at something and his eyes opened and he stared out across the room toward the bathing pool that was in the other adjoining room. The one thing the Illimar had always been good at were finding things, either singly or in small groups, but something seemed off... He couldn't put his finger on it. The delay wasn't helping any, and they only had one of the two eldest upon the Terran plane and the other having witnessed the execution of the Empresses... in the Marakaian Plane.

Thanks to being reborn, he wasn't too certain that this was a good thing. He didn't remember what perhaps he needed to, but this seemed a bit more of a stretch than they should have been dealing with. Their forces were split, and from the stories and teachings, he never recalled this being either an issue or a problem. Finally he would speak. It was quiet, and tense as he rose and moved to the balcony behind his bed, that overlooked the main area of the city, watching the shadows that loomed start to grow a little longer. ~"I agree with Sariel. All of us have avoided the Mirror for far too long. But the Amenophis woman will need to take the throne as Queen. I barely remember her face, if it is who I am thinking of, so I will work on finding Godwives..."~ The lineage until one of living royal lineage could be found would have to be secreted between them.

Jehoel listened to Gabrielle closely. yes there had been too much that had slipped by their attention. He would wait until the others had time to speak before speaking again.

<"I will see to it that it is done Commander and report more frequently as I am able. Kyriel was going to move toward Greece with Amaros gone, but I am not sure that would be the wisest decision for a complete move, with two potential seers already near or within Rome's borders. I will speak to Caesar of this privately tonight, after the meeting and see if he believes that the Army's can handle it.">

A momentary pause before it seemed that Jehoel's mind had suddenly slipped into solution mode.

<"I will have to spend some time with the Mirror, therefore, Kyriel meeting Caesar upon Caesar's meeting with the Lycanthropes will be muchly needed and beneficial. But Commander.... brothers...">

Not a theatrical pause, but perhaps it played out that way as Jehoel came to carefully piece together his solution.

<"... Eli is still around, it is obvious through his use of powers through his Son, Aiolos... Why not enlist his help with Greece. He does have Telepathy, though ... he could not link to us all, he would be able to link to the ones he does know. Amaros, Kyriel, Sariel and myself... It is a solution that could very well prove beneficial to us all since he has taken over Guardianship of the region without Amaros or Medomai there." >

What could it hurt? The speaking of one's mind was quite common amongst them, as long as it was done with the propriety needed. They may only be 12, but even Jehoel knew there were other Fallens that had not made their presence known yet... at least they knew though, where Eli stood in the scheme of things... which is something that none of them could say about others of their own race... divided as any...

Gabrielle allowed herself to remain quiet… Or more like continued to force herself to remain calm and collected. She did not like the disappearances of the Seers, and she too felt that something was off. With so many disappearances and the possibility of them ending up in the wrong hands, she couldn’t help but think that somehow, they were being blindsided by something.

But what?

Gabrielle nodded when Sariel stated he would try to find the Mani girl, though it couldn’t be seen of course by Sariel.
“Yes… Gather what information you can so that you are not searching blindly,”
she would state in response to Sariel’s mention of Amaros.

Gabrielle’s attention was drawn to Siegfried then, her eyes averting to look at his obviously angered face. He too was doing a good job of controling his anger and concern, though he did seem to let it show in his eyes a little bit more than she would allow. Her own eyes narrowed at that, thinking for a second that she may have to inform him about that slight weakness, but it wasn’t really the pressing concern right now.
“Agreed, the Amenophis woman must be brought back up to strength, and then it will be her destiny to return here… Lest we find the missing Pharaoh in the mean time. Our search for the Pharoah must not be abandoned, even in light of the Amenophis.”

It was after a few moments that Jehoel spoke, informing them of his meeting with Caesar and the questions he would pose to them, and then the mention of seeking out Eli’s help in the situation at hand. Gabrielle’s instinctual reaction was to rebut the possibility, but with matters the way they were, it was a good idea to think outside of the box. Trust was something that Gabrielle had a difficult time with, and to seek out the help of a Fallen that Gabrielle had never met personally was something she never liked to do.

Yet the possibility did pose many potential advantages.

“Seeking out Eli’s assistance, while risky… May be a beneficial course of action. However, I insist that a meeting be set up between he and myself as part of the plan.”

~"I will report when I have something Commander. Good hunting everyone. I must be off before the night wanes too much."~ Sariel would state as he broke contact in the link. His mission was clear and he would carry it out to the best of his ability.

Jehoel was silent through the other members of the Illimar and the Commander speaking. He would finally say, < "As soon as I can get some time from here I will return to the mirror and see what I can see. I have to check on the only male as of right now that we are sure is alive that has some form of sight, and is with Ky. I want to try to do this before the meeting tonight that Caesar has planned. There is much to discuss, but I will not divulge anything too quickly, especially until I can get a read off of those present, besides those I either know or have trained. As soon as I can, I am going to be talking Amaros off the fool-hearty mission the Cyprian's set him on. Though I will not trod in Babylon... There is something else around here that even the young Aiolos picked up on or could not explain. I will report when I have been able to decipher what it is... though it is not Archon or demon make... I shall try to report tonight once again Commander and Brothers. I must go, it seems our Bard is stirring slightly." >

Jehoel's attention seemed to drift for a moment, before he stated quietly, < "May we all have Tyche/Fortuna on our sides. Be safe." > With that Jehoel's link would be severed, leaving Gabrielle's and Siegfried's minds the only ones linked.

Siegfried had little to say. He was uncertain how to ascertain if he knew the Amenophis woman that Jehoel had brought up, but Gabrielle had already stated the obvious, he needn't say anything else. He had risen and was walking toward the chamber that Gabrielle was given for rest and comfort. The door had opened and the servants that were going to walk in to tend to him, were motioned off. They did not tempt to stay and as the door closed, he moved through the archway. He spoke in their native tongue and quietly in case there were somehow prying ears. (Enochian-Angelic)

"If Jehoel is speaking of the right woman she should barely even be out of her benefactor's grasp. But if he didn't believe Sahkmet was killed then he had good reason and I would at least hold onto that for now."

He came to kneel beside where she was sitting, looking to her with a slightly tilted head in her direction. "Commander, the pieces that should have come to pass before the opening of the Marakai, as seen through the mirror and the prophecies in the Terran tombs that Jehoel has been able to uncover have been delayed by five years. This is an omen that I do not wish to dwell on, but there is something else guiding this we seem to be missing. I did not want to say this in the link, especially with Jehoel listening because I don't want his mind skewed when he looks into the mirror, but there has to be a reason for this... A seer has to have already been obtained, and before five years ago. Do you know of any of the lines, before or after our death that the Archons were able to get ahold of... a lineage with enough accuracy that it could sway the balance?"

He watched her closely, for he knew if he could ask her these questions, these questions would have already, most likely, crossed her mind as well. And she was far too silent in this meeting to his own liking. She asked very few questions, though her orders were clear. And while he could feel her mind upon the conversation within close proximity, he knew her mind was also scattered as if looking at a map of the universe, but in a concentrated fashion. The truth was, they were able to gain control of one of the key Empires, almost too easily... And he knew it. As many Authurians as there had been noted to being, there had been few seen in recent weeks, and this usually meant there was something in the pot brewing that they would have to try to figure out, lest they be caught offguard.

Gabrielle did not say anything further as the links were severed between herself, Jehoel, and Sariel, feeling the presence of Siegfried enter the room. He would find her sitting upon the bed that had been prepared for her with numerous pillows and comforts, though her gaze would be locked upon the skies outside of the doorway off to the side.

The words which Siegfried spoke were well taken, and yes, she had the thoughts cross her mind already.
“Yes, there is definitely something within the movements of our opponents that hint we have missed something. And it could be any number of things under the Heavens that we have missed.” She would continue to look out at the sky for a few moments time before turning her gaze back to Siegfried.

“There were many whispers of lines that were gifted with sight, and those confirmed are those we have kept track of. However, many more have remained only rumors… unverified. And the beings within the Marakai, there is much there we remain unaware of…”

Gabrielle drew in a deep breath then, brows furrowing as she spoke, “It is hard to tell who may be holding the puppet strings, when so much is still a mystery.”

~mental communication~

"Commander. Where are you located? I must give you a report I daren't over the link. It is a potential threat to our situation."

That was all Romanus would say while the air around the Commander and Siegfried would grow slightly stale, a side effect of the entity he chose to copy for his cover. It would signal to both whom was speaking, or attempting linkage. Romanus was the quietest of the group and only reported when the need arose... and for him not to report in the link... would hopefully signal how grave this knowledge must be.

Siegfried nodded in agreement. "I shall seek out those we can employ here to listen to the whispers of the undesirable areas throughout the kingdom. There is something amiss Commander..." He would look over his shoulder toward the door. "But whispers, have always had some truth to them... have they not?"

However, the change in the scent of the air would snap Siegfried's eyes back to Gabrielle, then to the balconies then back to the Commander... "Romanus?" He would ask, though he was more seeing if the old man was there... more than he was asking Gabrielle if he was contacting her through the link.

The connection from Romanus was unexpected, and took Gabrielle by surprise though it would not show upon her face. Without even a moment’s hesitation, she revealed their location to Romanus, “Egypt… Cairo… Take every precaution, as there are spies about.” Her gaze would then look to Siegfried, who had caught the change in the air.

With a slow nod, she replied,
“Yes… He shall report here soon.”

Gabrielle did not explain the reasoning behind Romanus coming here, as she felt it needn’t be explained, especially when she did not really know the details of the “potential threat”. Drawing in a deep breath, Gabrielle returned to the immediate conversation.

“Yes, there is always a shred of truth in every whisper, and every lie… It is that needle in the haystack we must seek out.” Her gaze then returned to Siegfried, a small smile slipping over her lips. “But we cannot search though haystacks if we grow too weary, then it all looks the same… I shall retire for the evening… My Lord,” she would say with slight condescension as she bowed her head.

Romanus would listen to where the Commander was located and her instructions for showing up. His response was short, then he would relinquish the link and prepare to move in Egypt's direction.

"Noted and I shall arrive by sunrise."

Siegfried would nod for each bit of information given. And when Gabrielle spoke of resting he would nod again. "As you wish, Seer...." Though "Rest well Commander" was whispered in a much quieter voice. he would rise and move into his chambers, pulling the curtains to, so she would not be disturbed.

So Romanus would report. Interesting news indeed. He had things to do however. He would leave his chambers with instructions that the Seer not be disturbed unless she called for something. He would make his way, after speaking tot several, to meet with the Captains of the guard. he would set forth the order to have the most trusted the most blessed by Sekher (God of Stealth and Invisibility), to find information on anything that was out of place, to find out if there were any spies amongst them and who. And while both Siegfried and Gabrielle knew there were, the captains seemed a bit surprised, but there were seven that would be called forth.

They were given their orders to seek out information and return with it, but not to react to anything they picked up on or gleaned. It would take a good portion of the night and about the time the sun was about to rise, Siegfried was heading back to his chambers for rest... nearing sunrise, a time he didn't know would be potentially key to the Illimar movements from that point on.

Romanus was near exhausted as he found a landing space out of the eyes of anyone. near a mile in the desert from Cairo, where he would come to land, not far from a farm, though far enough to avoid detection. His tired wings he would pull within his armor and his helm which only allowed for what looked to be hollow eyes could be seen as he came upon the farm. He burst within the hut, and tossed three silver coin upon a table startling the woman, man and children inside, scaring all but the man to faint.

"Horse, buy..." He would say in rough Egyptian and turn and push out the doorway and he took the man's horse that was seen, the better of the three he owned and mount him with ease, pulling the reins taut and turning the horse in the direction of the city.

Mental communication begins

~I approach Cairo's western gate by horse. I shall be there in a few minutes. Where do you wish me to seek audience with you?~

He would not push the horse too hard, his weight would be enough to tax it to near death at a full run. He would return the horse after the deed anyway, or send it back to the man. He awaited new guidance from his commander. And he was truthful in his timing, though certainly exhausted, the sun would rise near time for him to cross the gates of Cairo.
