She is visiting her young granddaughter, Delilah, while her daughter, Deyinarah, now tends to Axidus giving report Darneesha is within his abode. The Akaros Warlordesses are known to come in threes and it is very, very seldom they are alone.

A Ship to Rome

Summary - The trio is moving the slow way toward Rome, in search of these things called Vampires; while on ship to Rome, a Toran demon causes commotion which results in Trajan tainting a third of the crew in order to keep things going smoothly, despite this, the Toran manages to get the remaining crew to throw a good portion of the supplies overboard, resulting in the ship needing to dock before they reach their destination; Aziza instructs Evie to try to contact the Toran in hopes of gaining something from it. Because of the commotion, the Nephthys whom had been hidden the entirety of the trip thus far comes out and makes demands, unveiled threats, to the Captain not to delay more than half a day on a reloading.

Summary - Aislinn ventures to the Imperial Library in search of information about the Marakai, which she believes is where she came from; while searching, she begins to hear a voice that only she can hear; the guards approach having heard her talking, and summon a physician, as they are worried about her health; guards do not know Aislinn is hearing things. Lucian comes to find that Alexandria was sent by Salvatore to the British Isles to retrieve Ishmael to "fix" Dane's mind. Lucian is more than tense, having feelings he has not had in a long while, though he cannot place his finger on when he felt like this in his past, as if something had been wiped clean.

Currently the vampire which had been hiding in the Palace has been found, Shaheer; believing she poses no threat, Caesar allows her to sleep under guard in the storage room; Gaius leaving to go talk to Tiberius when Lukas returns from a short absense; Aiolos (DC Roman Empire) has come with a message for Caesar
Gaius is told about Tiberius's quickly arranged and performed marriage, before they depart to prepare for the nightly meeting. - Gaius will receive the first missives during the day while preparations are being made.

They have a discussion wth Kyriel and while Bellamy is not liking the idea of Charlot meeting with Caesar, Charlot accepts and Kyriel sends word through messenger. They are awaiting a time and a place.

Summary - The protection of the Heiress apparent and the refortification of the British Isles against the invading demons of the Marakai; as Sophia makes her way to the chapel to pray, she comes upon a thief stealing valuables; Sophia calls for guards but oddly, none come; Thief makes his way out of the chapel and is halfway to the forest before guards begin to chase him; the only one to come to see to Sophia's safety is an old man carrying a bale of grain; Sophia insists on helping the man carry his bundle home for his concern for her; Sophia and the old man make their way to his cabin, at the edge of the dark forest, strange running and grunting sounds begin to surround them, while the man seems increasingly uneasy. Mordaunt, his entourage and Alexandria are about to walk into the scene at the old man's cabin.

Summary - Fengge returns to his home which happens to be in one of the favored areas of Charan Authurian; Charan just happens to have decided it was time he returned to his claimed lands, finding an easy meal with a guy that Fengge had just beat up for trying to steal. Charan returns the next night as unfearfully Fengge entices his return. Charan finds he has met Fengge, though when he was much much younger in his court one of the previous times he had been there.

Summary - After Siegfried takes the throne of Egypt and wanders one-third of the Palace with Gabrielle, they move to their rooms to prepare and plan for the next moves to be made in Egypt and plot to remove any enemy infiltrators. Jehoel makes contact and gives report much like Kyriel had earlier that day. Jehoel however was a bit more forthcoming with details where Kyriel generally skips over things. Siegfried and Gabrielle do know that those from the Temple of Isis that survive the trip and impending attacks will be brought to Cairo and set up within the Temple of Isis that had been abandoned there, thanks to the former Authurian command.
Romanus makes his way from the Carpathians to inform Gabrielle, and Siegfried by proxy, that it looks as if the Gaulian Archon Javodian has acquired one of the Mani-descendants, mixed with the blood of Mani and a demonic seed.
